Every time the Golden Globes comes around on the calendar, a little part of me is excited to see what’s going to come down the red carpet. And like clock work, I am underwhelmed. I don’t know what it is – maybe because fashion is so readily available to all of us by way of Fast Fashion department stores or even digital media. If I want to see what Dolce Gabbana sent down the runway today, I can see it tomorrow. It’s so easy. So it’s fair to say that readers have all the info at their fingertips so why come to my blog to read it.
I’d like to think that my style of writing and choice of jewelry pics keep you coming back for more! Either that or I’m in your email list and I have arrived at the right time of day! As you can see, I can go on and on about this but you are here for BIJOUX. And that’s what I’m going to show you.
Here are my faves from the Golden Globes 2017:
My favourite of the night was Tracee Ellis Ross as seen above. Her multiple rings from Yeprem Jewellery scream my personal style so of course, she had to be my cover photo. Apart from her bijoux, her energy is magnetizing and her speech was equally powerful! And that’s why she gets a second pic!
My man, Pharrell makes my list of stylish men every time. Tonight was no different showcasing Chanel’s Bombay 2012 collection. I pulled this look off many years ago. You can’t see the brooch on his tie. I chose this pic because the “om”ness just personifies him to a tee. Had to go for whole overall look!
Who says you can’t look like a million bucks with a Dollar store ribbon?! Michelle Williams always looks pristine in her award show get-ups and yet, there is always a tinge of 90’s grungy in her. Is it just me?
I didn’t know who she was until I researched her on Google – where else? Of Italian descent, Olivia Culpo is an actress but most famous for her 2012 Miss USA title. Not a fan of pageants that’s for sure, but her Zuhair Murad dress is stunning and the fact that her earrings are bigger than a stud makes me smile! It is worth a share – and she’s beautiful!
More and more rings – I’d say RING PARTIES are back! I mean, seriously – jewelry should just be worn however you feel fit! And personally more is more and bigger is better but I understand that I’m in the small percentile of jewelry wearers. Is good! Is good! Drew Barrymore looks divine!
A shout out to Thandie Newton for putting a twist on this Harry Winston diamond classic. Wearing it in the back adds more importance to the piece and makes it look more current. Go ahead and try this for your wedding day – I dare you!!
Last one of the night is Blake Lively sporting Lorraine Schwartz matching cuffs. I’m loving the symmetry but mostly the “Wonder Woman” effect of it all. It certainly does add power, don’t you agree? Oh and a little footnote, her Atelier Versace dress took over 300 hours to make, huh!
If you had any faves of the night, feel free to drop me an email or comment below. I’d love to hear your thoughts. See u in a few weeks (the Oscars are a coming)
